We offer a wide variety of services. Among these services include:
Oral Cancer Exam:
During your dental exam, Dr. Kabbani will look for any signs of oral cancer. He will feel the area under your jaw, the sides of your neck, the insides of your cheeks and lips, as well as your tongue and the roof and floor of your mouth.
A dental x-ray allows Dr. Kabbani to see detailed images of specific sections of your mouth. We use a newer technique that allows x-rays to be sent to a computer and viewed on a screen.
Natural Colored Filling:
Composite resins are used to treat damaged or decayed teeth. Natural looking fillings can be used to replace mercury amalgams(silver fillings). Composite restorations are durable and blend perfectly with your teeth and they have shown to preserve more of the original tooth surface.
Mostly known as caps, crowns help restore tooth function. We use a non-metal porcelain material that matches your existing teeth. Crowns are bonded to damaged or decayed teeth after the surface has been prepared. A bridge is a three or more unit crown used to replace missing teeth. An adhesive anchors them to adjacent teeth.
Periodontal Disease Prevention:
Dr. Kabbani recommends good dental hygiene with regular, every six months, in office cleanings and early diagnosis to help prevent periodontal disease. Prevention of periodontal disease may include scaling and root planing or a full mouth debridement.
Root Canal Therapy: A common misconception is that a root canal is a painful
procedure. Actually, root canals are similar to having a cavity
filled, producing minimal pain.
Emergency Dental Treatment: What is an emergency? You may be asking yourself that question right now. Symptoms like pain, swelling, fractured teeth, or lost fillings. Whatever the problem, if it is an emergency, we do too! Please call us!
- Stainless Steel Crowns: Crowns on primary (“baby”) teeth are typically made of stainless steel (for strength) and are silver in color. Sometimes on front teeth white crowns can be used. They are placed on baby teeth to protect, seal, and strengthen the tooth. Sometimes this is after a large amount of decay was removed or after a pulpotomy has been performed.
Surgical Extractions: Every tooth extraction is different. Some are simple and some require more extensive procedures. Surgical extraction is required whenever the tooth cannot be removed by simple forcep extraction. Conditions that warrant surgical removal would include cracked teeth, impacted teeth, severely decayed teeth, or any condition that makes the extraction a bit difficult. This type of tooth extraction is routine in our office and is nothing to be afraid of.
